All The Details…
Join us for Willow Week at The Branch Ranch—an immersive, hands-on experience designed for those who want time, space, material and guidance to truly deepen their skills. This workshop is structured for both newer and experienced weavers and offers a semi-custom format where you can work on the techniques and projects that interest you most. Each day runs from 9am to 4pm, with plenty of one-on-one support, demonstrations, and opportunities to develop the skills you want to work on. You’ll be working with willow grown sustainably here on our farm, we will discuss how to select, prepare, and handle the materials as you create your woven pieces over the course of the week. Because of the extended format, participants can move at their own pace—tackling new techniques, refining skills, or diving into more complex projects that aren’t always possible in shorter workshops. Whether you’re hoping to build confidence, try new techniques, or produce a small collection of work, this workshop gives you the time and guidance to do so. We will work on round, and oval shapes only. If you have questions about a technique, shape or project please contact us prior to registering.
We do not provide accommodations, but we’re happy to assist you in finding suitable local options. Lunches can be arranged for the week if desired, or you’re welcome to bring your own. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, learn deeply, and spend a meaningful week weaving with beautiful, locally grown willow in a supportive environment.
What Should I Bring?
A lunch (unless you opt for arranged lunches), comfortable clothing, an apron if you desire one, closed-toe shoes, a water bottle, and any personal tools you prefer to use—though all necessary tools are provided. We would also greatly appreciate it if you could bring a reusable mug. We will provide coffee, tea and water throughout the duration of the workshop.
