Canada Blooms 2014 - WILD!

Earlier this year Sian Pritchard from The Cutting Garden and The Scott Wentworth Landscape Group approached us looking for tall willow branches for a structure they were creating at Canada Blooms. The willow was to be used on an archway at the entrance to the Landscape Ontario booth entitled "Come Alive Outside!". It was a tall structure, covered on the outside with flame willow, which fortunately we had in abundance on the farm. Although Sian had hoped to weave the willow the conditions during the build were less than ideal and proved to be too cold and brittle for weaving. Regardless, Sian and the crew did a fabulous job putting the structure together, it sure did look WILD  to match this year's theme for the Canada Blooms show.

The following photos are some of the things that caught our eye at this year's show.

This was an incredible water feature, designed by James Garfield Thompson.

A succulent bikini! Now that's wild!!!

An interesting use of stone on this bridge. Love the lighting too.

Portable, easy to install, wool lined, cozy!!

Our favourite of the show...a pussy willow bodice! Purrrfect!
